Pablove Grub – Your Support Crew for the DK200

The Dirty Kanza 200 is not a race for the faint of heart. Not only does it require exceptional endurance and mental toughness, it also requires a solid, well prepared support crew. Well, it did, until now! For 2012 we are proud to introduce the very first Dirty Kanza racer support program: Pablove Grub!

What is Pablove Grub?

Much like the racer support programs found in the Baja 500/1000 races and the Paris – Drakar, Pablove Grub is a racer-paid support service. If you do not have a crew to cart around your supplies at the Dirty Kanza 200, you can sign up for Pablove Grub instead!

Program Options:

Supply Your Own (SYO) $50:

If you have a your favorite hydration/energy bar/food, bring it to the race! Pablove Grub will transport those supplies plus your gear. At EACH of the three check points there will be:

  1. Your supplies. Whatever bars, gels, hydration mix, etc… you designate will be waiting for you at each checkpoint. (Limit: 8lbs per checkpoint).
  2. A meal! You can’t do a 200 mile gravel road race on energy bars alone. You need protein, fat, salt and carbs. At each checkpoint there will be a fast, easy snack to supply just that. For example, at Check Point 1 you will chow down on a fat Peanut Butter, Jelly & Banana sandwich, fresh oranges, trail mix and as many gummy bears as you can shove in your pockets.
  3. 1 drop bag for you to stock and drop riding gear (arm warmers, vests, jackets, fresh jersey, etc…).
  4. Water to resupply your bottles and hydration bladders.

Full Ride (FR) $75:

You get EVERYTHING from the SYO program, PLUS, at each check point Pablove Grub supplies you with:

  1. 2-3 gel-based energy packets
  2. 2-3 energy bars
  3. 1 protein bar
  4. Energy drink mix

Have you always wanted to come race the Dirty Kanza 200 but couldn’t quite convince your family, friends or loved ones to travel several hundred (or thousand) miles to act as your support crew? Now you don’t have to. Sign up for Pablove Grub, train like a maniac, and come race one of the hardest single day gravel road races in the world!

How can I Register?

Registration for the DK200 is over, but you can still register for Pablove Grub! Just log onto our donation page and donate $50 (SYO) or $75 (FR) to the Adventure Monkey-Pablove team. Then send me an email to tell me you need Pablove Grub! Email me here.

All proceeds from Pablove Grub go directly to the Pablove Foundation in Memory of Adrian Lewis Solano. Adrian lived in Emporia, KS where the Dirty Kanza 200 is held. At the age of 12 he was diagnosed with a brain tumor, Nongerminoma germ cell, which was the same cancer Lance Armstrong had. Adrian underwent 4 months of chemotherapy and 2 months of radiation. After which the cancer was gone with a 90% survival rate. Unfortunately only 1 month into remission it returned with vengeance. Adrian fought the next 6 months like a champ but the cancer had no mercy. It took Adrian on Feb 18, 2011.

Registration for Pablove Grub will be available as part of the Dirty Kanza 200 registration process. You may also register after the fact should your support crew suddenly ditch you for a movie opening, ground breaking ceremony or whatnot.
